Malaysia’s Hit Station! Sounds familiar? It’s a shout-out for hitz.fm, owned by Astro All Asia Networks. Run by AMP Radio Networks, it is specially created to cater the needs of young listeners. In terms of listenership, Hitz is Malaysia’s leading English-Language radio station. Hitz.fm frequency varies depending on its region.

First launched in 1997, Hitz has captured the hearts of the younger generation in the coming years. With their timely effort, hitz.fm later came out with numerous awards to suit the tastes of their listeners. When it first started operation, it was known as HITZ FM. However, in 2001, the management rebranded the station to hitz.fm. The all-new hitz.fm started radio streaming subsequently.

In the year 2000, the station first introduced Malaysian Top 10 to recognize the local Malaysian music. The slot was later renamed to Malaysian English Top 10. Hitz.fm Malaysian English Top 10 Awards commenced in 2005 as a tribute to local English-singing talent.

The current weekday’s lineup for hitz.fm comprises of 5 timeslots. From 6 in the morning, the morning crews, JJ Fernandez and Tengku Mohd Ean Nasrun (best known as En) would play a Got’Cha call. This prank is fun but with a tinge of sarcasm. The morning crews would call a victim and prank them based on requests from their family and friends.

Lately, the crews has set up a machine resembles a Lie Detector Test and Malaysians can request to try out the machine. At times, the crews would commence other activities for the morning time slot. Once, JJ and En was blindfolded and taken to Jalan Bukit Bintang and both had to stand for the breakfast show.

The breakfast show ends at 10 am. Next up on the schedule is Moots. The rockstar Moots is up for music without interruptions and commercials. The “10 in A Row With Moots” is sure gonna rock your day from 10 am until 1 pm.

The whacky and hilarious Rudy Sufian is up in line from 1 to 4 pm. The best and latest hitz will brighten up your day. Besides, the eccentric Rudy guaranteed the craziest stories to cheer up the listeners.

Stuck in a congested traffic on your way home? No worries. Natalie will entertain all the listeners out there with a series of hit songs from 4 to 8 pm. And after a long day at work, its party time with Adam and Jin with Hitz Party! This vibrant duo will rock your night from 8 pm till midnight with the hottest tracks.

If you’re staying home for the weekend, then tuned in to hitz.fm as this station offers more than you can expect. The Hollywood Hook-up Flashback from 10 to 11 in the morning will hook you up for juicer gossips from Hollywood. Richard Reid will fill the listeners with latest and hottest stories.

The best of Gotcha’s is aired from 3 to 5 every Saturday for you to inform the morning crews for the best Got’Cha prank call from the weekdays breakfast show. Rick Dees and The Weekly Best 40 come straight into your home on Saturdays, 6 to 10 pm and repeats on Sundays from 12 to 4 pm. Non-stop club hitz from talented Jakeman, DJ Ken, DJ Uno, DJ fuzz and other renowned DJs is blasting to your radio from 10 pm till dawn on Saturdays and 9 to 11 pm on Sundays.

Dialogue 7 hosts, Suresh Nelson mesmerizes his listeners with his impressive music from 12 am to 1 in the morning and 11 in the morning till 1 am on Sundays.

Countdown the Top 20 hitz of the week with the dynamic duo, Ean and Adam on Sundays from 10 am till 12 pm and Mondays, 1 until 3 in the morning. The best 10 hitz in Malaysia hosted by Uno and Moots will come to you on Sundays 4 to 5 pm and Mondays, 4 to 5 in the morning.
