| Description | Hot FM is another private radio station in Malaysia wholly owned by Media Prima Berhad. While Fly FM under Media Prima ranked number 2 for English format radio station, another success by Media Prima is Hot FM. With a tagline of “Lebih Hangat Daripada Biasa” (it means hotter than usual), Hot FM is the fastest growing Malay radio station in Malaysia. It was launched on February 2006.
Its targets listeners are young urban Malays. Listenership for Hot FM increased drastically since it was first launched in 2006. Within eight weeks of its launch, it has achieved approximately 2.9 millions of listeners. Quite an achievement for a new radio station!
The exciting lineups on weekdays begin as early as 6. Lively Faizal and boisterous Fara will host the “Hot FM AM Crew” until 10 am. The dynamic duo will cheer you up in the morning with exhilarating content during this 4-hour show. They would play a prank call based on requests from victim’s family and friends. Listeners can keep themselves updated for latest gossips with Fara during the show.
The Hot FM’s music menu hosted by sassy Tini and pretty Azura begins from 10 am till 4 pm. Listeners can request for their favourite songs by filling up the form online or send in through SMS. The hottest music menu brought to you by Streamxy is one of the best shows of the day. Tini (former host of 3R) will entertain listeners from 10 am till 1 pm following by Azura from 1 pm onwards till 4 pm.
Azura will have to make way for Ag and Leya for the 4 pm show “Hot FM Jam”. Powered by Digi, quick-witted Ag and chatterbox Leya will keep their listeners updated with the latest traffic reports besides discussing gossips and the latest events around the world. Before the show ends at 8 pm, Ag and Leya will play hot fm trivia with the listeners. Two chosen listeners have to battle against each other and answer the questions correctly to stand a chance to win shopping vouchers worth RM400.
The “Hot FM Zon” begins at 8 pm with the arrival of Anne and Ikhwan. From time to time, the station will broadcast the hottest music in town and besides, “hot fm ok ko” will keep listeners entertain until midnight. The deejays will play 2 songs and listeners have to vote for their favourite. The one song that gains the most votes will be played again at the end of the show. One lucky listener who has voted for the top song of the night can walk away with RM100.
Energetic Fiq will carry on the show from midnight until 2 pm. Nevertheless, Fiq will continue the show with his funny stories to keep the listeners awake. Saturdays is filled with lots of exciting shows for the listeners. From 10 pm until noon, Azura and Anne will countdown the Top 20 Indonesian songs in “Hot FM Yang Keren”. The show is complete with the juiciest gossips and interviews with Indonesian stars.
“Hot FM Tiga Puluh” is brought to you by Digi, hosted by the dynamic duo from weekdays “Hot FM AM Crew”, Fara and Faizal. Listeners can vote for their favourite songs and the deejays will count down the Top 30 songs as voted by listeners. Blasting through your home on Sundays from 9 am till 12 pm and repeat shows from 9 pm till midnight.
“Hot FM Two-O” by Leya and Tini from 9 pm till midnight will rock your Saturday night. Two adorable deejays will count down the Top 20 English songs as voted by listeners. Also “Hot FM Prelude” on Saturday nights is based on the latest and hottest songs aired on Hot FM. Hosted by Ikhwan, this 1-hour show is a quick recap on the current songs frequently aired by Hot FM.
Last but not least, “Hot Fm Korner” headed by Suraya and a bunch of colourful Hot FM deejays. During the weekends, the show will play 9 hours of your choice of songs continuously. Listeners can list and send out 5 songs on Hot FM’s website. The station will pick two out of the five songs.
